Poetry, as it happens

I turn moments from real life into language — the things we notice, the things we don’t say, and the thoughts that stay with us.

This space exists simply to share them with you. 🖤

Hi, I’m Sydney. I’ve always been attached to a journal — ever since I was little, I’ve been writing, journaling, and turning thoughts into poems. Writing has always been the place I go to slow everything down. Just like many people, I am an over-thinker. I am just one who decided to make writing my outlet.

Poetry specifically heals me. It gives me a way to express myself in ways I’ve never been able to articulate out loud. I write about ordinary days, quiet realizations, love, absence, and the strange experience of being human and being perceived. Most of my poems come from things I almost said, or didn’t know how to say yet. A lot of them are written quickly, before the moment passes, and then left alone on purpose.

I’ve been sitting on so many poems I’ve written throughout my life — honestly, I still haven’t finished combing through all of them. There are years of pages, notes, and fragments that are only just now finding their place.

My first poetry book, UNSORTED, is coming out in early 2026. It’s a collection of poems written across different seasons of my life, placed side by side without being reshaped. The consistency is the voice, not the order.

If you’re here reading this, thank you for being part of it. I’m really glad you’re here. 🖤
